OLD TOWN LA QUINTA WELCOMES SEVERAL NEW BUSINESSES

There is much more to explore at Old Town La Quinta this holiday season. Five new additions expand the variety of merchandise and services available at Old Town.

"My mother (and business partner) and I felt that we could offer a unique home accessories boutique for design savvy clients of the desert," said Briana Burt DeAztlan, store owner. "From high quality lighting to cashmere and various other luxury items for your home, we believe the shop fits well in the lifestyle that is Old Town La Quinta.""I had this fantasy sketchbook that contained the nicest furniture I saw then, from Ethan Allen and Sears catalogs," she says. "I'd cut out the photos and place them in correct perspective." She called the sketchbook "My House."Hi-resolution images are available for download at:[Table Omitted]THERE ARE CERTAIN things that may mark a person as successful. Her family's home contrasted dramatically with living spaces she saw in her neighborhood or on TV. Their traditional Craftsman bungalow, with arched ceilings and intricate detailing, was transformed into a vibrant home business. "My mother had a daycare center at our house. ... There was no living and dining room to speak of. Our fireplace was covered up with a bulletin board, with all these stenciled cutouts for the kids."Danielle’s Jacob & Co. diamond eternity band is crafted in 18kt white gold and features round cut brilliant diamonds, totaling 3.83 carats. Kevin’s Jacob & Co. band is crafted in stainless steel with single rows of brilliant-cut diamonds along each edge and on each side, totaling 2.24 carats. In addition, the firm worked with the Jonas’ wedding planner, Michael Russo, to design special customized wedding gifts for the happy couple. Jacob & Co. handcrafted a signature monogram lapel pin for Kevin and a matching diamond pave pendant for Danielle. It may be a gorgeous home, a successful career, a life shared with a husband named Oliver whom you met while getting your master's in architecture at Yale, but that isn't what defines designer Jean Pelle (although she can lay claim to all these things).
