David E. Jensen (Readers' Forum, Sept. 20) says we Republicans are not "the brightest bulbs in the party chandelier" and says we should "grow a brain" and get on the bus to bankruptcy of a great nation. It appears Mr. Jensen and his posse must not be listening to the news media -- and I don't mean just Fox News. Every major network reports the dismal economy, growing unemployment and growing distrust of a president that speaks mistruths daily. The current dissatisfaction with this president has nothing to do with his skin color; we're way past that sad story. I'm convinced those who voted for "change" will vote to change the balance of power in the midterm and the next presidential election.
